The AQF was designed by the Australian Government to ensure consistency and to maintain high standards of education among qualification titles across the country. It regulates all Australian qualifications through clear rules about the level of education represented by each title. Each qualification generally leads into the next higher in the qualification down the list in the education framework. In addition to these qualifications, the AQF issues a Statement of Attainment when a student accomplishes only part of a qualification.
