Age Requirement
To study at Danford Higher Education, all international students must be at least 18 years of age or above when the course starts
General Entry Requirements
To satisfy the general entrance requirements for admission to a course, applicants must meet at least one of the following entry requirements:
- Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification,
- Successful completion of an equivalent secondary qualification overseas and attainment of the required entrance standard
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Tertiary Preparation Program or a Foundation Year Program offered by an Australian university
- Satisfactory completion of one year of accredited full-time study at a registered institute of tertiary education at AQF level 4 or above
- Admission to candidature for an undergraduate degree at an Australian University
In addition, all students, including international students, must be 18 years of age or over at the time that they commence the course for which they have applied. Persons seeking to enrol in a course are required to submit acceptable evidence that they meet the published entry criteria for their chosen course.
English Language Requirements
All international applicants wishing to enroll into a qualification at Danford Higher Education must provide evidence of English language proficiency as explained below. The English language proficiency score (IELTS or equivalent) should not be more than 2 years old.
For all the courses, students are required to have a minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) score of 6.0 overall with no bands under 5.5 or equivalent English language tests as outlined by the Department of Home Affairs.
Below are the details of English language tests and the minimum score requirement as listed by the Department of Home Affairs and ‘POL036 Student Admission Policy and Procedure’:

Circumstances where the English language requirement is exempted is as below
- The student is a citizen and holds a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
- The student has completed at least 5 years’ study in English in or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, NZ, South Africa or the Republic of Ireland
- The student provides evidence they have successfully completed or have enrolled into an ELICOS or alternative English course as accepted by the Department of Home Affairs. The entry requirement into any of Danford Higher Education courses is Advanced level.
- Evidence of completion of Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or a substantial component of a course leading to a qualification from the AQF at certificate IV or higher level, completed in English in Australia in the last two years.
- Evidence of completion certificate for a Foundation Course in Australia in the last two years.

Danford Higher Education may ask for evidence of the student English Language Skills anytime during the processing of their application to enroll with the Danford Higher Education, as an additional requirement.
Note: You may be required to provide evidence of an English test score with your visa application if you hold a British National Overseas (BNO) passport

Applicants with international qualifications not delivered in English must also demonstrate English equivalency as follows:
- IELTS Score of 6.0 (or IELTS Overall 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5
- TOEFL Test of Written English (TWE) 55 with a written score of 5
- TOEFL (Internet/computer based): Overall score of 67. Section score no less than: listening 12; speaking 18; reading 15; writing: 21
- C1 Advanced: (formerly Cambridge English: Advanced - CAE): 169
- C2 Proficiency: (formerly Cambridge English: Proficiency - CPE) 169
- Pearson Test of English (Academic: PTE) (no section score less than): 50.
